Wildlings Workshops 2022

Darlingia Forest School is pleased to be hosting Wildlings Workshops run by Nicki Farrell and Vicci Oliver from Wildlings Forest School, Queensland’s leading provider in Outdoor Education. This May we have two workshops: one for families and another for primary teachers and educators looking for professional development in outdoor learning. See details below.

Adventure Workshop

In this Wildlings workshop for families, children will learn to light a fire using a flint, light and safely manage a kelly kettle (billy) to boil a cup of hot chocolate and light and safely manage a fire in a contained fire pit to roast marshmallows or apple slices on.

Children will also have the opportunity to build their own rafts from pallets, ropes and bamboo to float down the creek. Children will have access to the hand saw and hand drills.

The workshop will be held at a nearby creek. Its location will be shared when your booking is made.

Professional Development
