Darlingia Ltd, a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee, was created in June 2019 with the aim to establish and carry on Darlingia Forest School.
A “Public Company Limited by Guarantee” is considered not-for-profit because its profits can be used only to further the company’s objects that are set out in its Constitution — that is, the profits cannot be distributed to its members.

Darlingia Forest School is governed by the not-for-profit company Darlingia Ltd which is owned by its members and overseen by a board of directors who are guided by our Board Charter and Constitution.

Christopher is currently employed as a Child Safety Officer with the Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs. Christopher was formerly employed in various child care roles as both front-line and management roles for several years and has also worked privately as a tutor and in volunteer roles as a tutor and playgroup facilitator.
Bachelor of Paramedic Science, Masters in Human Nutrition
Cheniel is currently employed as an Advanced Care Paramedic with the Queensland Ambulance Service, First Aid & CPR Instructor, and Nutritionist in private enterprise. Cheniel lives locally in Innisfail with two young children not yet of school age.

Michelle is currently employed as NDIS community support coordinator, is studying a Masters of Social Work, and was formerly employed as Childcare Educator, then Assistant Coordinator (2IC Managerial Position) at West End State School P&C Outside School Hours Care.
Deborah Schiel Zaini
BA (Hons) Graphic Design, Post Graduate Certificate in Education (Art & Design)
Deborah is currently employed as the Teaching Principal of Darlingia and has professional experience in web designing and programming as well as primary teaching, arts network facilitating, and school I.T. support. Deborah is a local Innisfail resident with two primary school-aged children, and is founder of The Rainforest School (Est. 2019) and Darlingia Forest School (Est. 2021).
